Lynda Light Bio

Lynda Light is a Master Yoga Teacher and mentor, who has been facilitating students and instructing yoga, including yoga teacher training programs (YTT) for over 35 years. She holds certificates in Yoga training from the world renowned White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara along with her 3 year intensive teacher training program in Kenya, East Africa. She has her E-RYT with Yoga Alliance Registry and has studied and gained specialized training in Restorative Yoga, Yoga Alignment, and Business Yoga.

Lynda’s passion is offering students the opportunity to gain yoga teacher training (YTT) through specialized yoga classes and wellness seminars, which help bring aboutWholeness and the deeper Truth. Her classes include specific breathing techniques, guided imagery, stretch and strengthen exercises (asana), guided meditations, readings, as well as examination of core principles and ancient texts that involve the spirit of each individual.

Lynda’s passion is inspiring others in the concept of mind/body/spirit connection & whole health awareness. Her approach is gently encouraging while challenging. She inspires her students to grow while enjoying the process. From the beginner to the most advanced, Ms. Light will guide you to a more Whole Life way. She specializes in helping students develop a stronger, more focused yoga practice.  Lynda offers both private sessions and in class attention. She also enjoys working with diverse clients, groups and organizations including those facing health challenges of weight loss, cancers, injuries, pregnancy, operations, heart issues, and other concerns.

Lynda earned her Master’s Degree in Health Education at the University of Wisconsin. She also spent four years in the Consciousness Studies Masters Program with Holmes Institute in San Diego. While helping to develop the curriculum for High Level Wellness at the University of Wisconsin, she was a full-time instructor in Yoga and Health courses with the Health Education Department for over 22 years. More recently Ms. Light developed and implemented the Spirituality and Health course within the Master’s Degree for Integrative Health at National University. Two years ago she launched the Yoga Teacher Training Program at Mira Costa College.  Lynda has now opened  her own Yoga School and classes in Encinitas, Ca. at CIHS (CA. Institute for Human Science) and is committed to bring forth in her students their potential for living Life fully, with an emphasis on self-discovery for the greater good.
